Pentatonix ft. Jason Durelo

Music Video

Director Tim Nackashi who has worked with artist such as Maroon 5, OneRepublic, OK Go, and many other A List Celebrities has done it yet again, with the recently released music video “if I Ever Fall In Love” By Pentatonix Featuring Jason Derulo. “The music video is visually stimulating and highly creative” says Consultant and Projectionist Eddie Suparman. “When i was approached by Tim to team up on this project I didn’t know what to expect. Working with him is exciting because his ideas are always fresh and sometimes challenging”. Nackashi’s concept was to create a stylized video using bold and graphical projections to show a mysterious and alluring side of Pentatonix and Jason Derulo.

With a short amount of time in pre-production, challenges were not an uncommon encounter. Eddie says, “There were a number of different looks that Tim wanted to achieve which was the first challenge. The second was coming up with solutions to turn his concepts into reality”. Matrix supplied two Barco HDX-W20 Flex Projectors along with two BenQ 4000 Lumens Projectors. Both Barco HDX-W20’s were blended together to create a 60’ backdrop behind the artist. To achieve the artist and special effects looks, Matrix utilized two BenQ HD Projectors.

“Eddie and the Matrix Team are my go-to people for anything Innovative in terms of lighting and projections. They were critical for us to pull of the effects in our Pentatonix/Jason Derulo video. They’re also a bunch of cool people!” Says Tim Nackashi. Since its release on Youtube April 14, 2016, the video has already generated over 2.6 million views.

PRSM

General Session and After Party

Hired by AVLA, Matrix was asked to handle the full production of the PRSM 2016 National Conference General Session and After Party. The general session featured a LED wall of 250 – 3mm tiles, up-lighting, cameras, audio, draping and a custom stage. For the After Party held at the Long Beach Arena, Matrix was hired for audio, lighting and visual which included 2 – 3mm LED walls. The PRSM Conference ended with a special performance by Vanilla Ice.

DJ SNAKE

Kicks off Tour with Enhanced Video

Matrix Visual provided the video walls for artist DJ Snake’s 4 week tour in April 2016. Matrix provided 112 – 7mm LED panels for the main LED wall and additional tiles for the DJ booth on stage.

ASCAP Pop Music Awards & “I Create Music” Expo

Martin Phillips design shines Bright!

Hired by the Production Team from NG9 Matrix Visual was asked to provide the LED for the ASCAP Pop Music Awards and the General Session of the “I Create Music” Expo, April 27^th – April 30^th. Collaborating with Designer of the show, Martin Phillips, Matrix’s LED panels brought his design to life on stage. Matrix Visual provided 252 – 3.9mm panels for (3) 12×20 LED walls and an additional 40 – 2.6mm panels for (10) individual 2×2 screens which displayed the event logo’s throughout the event.
